owllight

North the wind blows scurrying secrets
When will the oxbow moon lave us ?
Shriven under starlight the owl knows
How the chain causes pain to voles
Moles a thin screech rip trip tree
To woo the warm proteins to wit
Do not blame the owls;
Their prey in turn took
A thousand innocent worms
Squirming annelid screams
Forgetting their own myriad
Food crimes involving unsolved
Bacterial pogroms in chthonic ghettoes
Be careful out there
