On Wishing That Paris ...

I tried so hard to love old London town
The tube the parks the cheeky cockney vibe
Alas i failed and baffled settled down
Back in the earthy homeloam of my tribe
Last summer when the young folk ran amok
And helped themselves to trashy Nike shoes
To me it did not seem a massive shock
For feral yoofs abound in London's stews
And now we must endure Olympic Games
A frightful tellyfest for hoi polloi
With anti-aircraft missiles by the Thames
And Capita in charge unbounden joy
I shall avoid the Great Wen for a space
Until next year at Putney for the race !!
